Locating your Jeep’s paint code is the first and most important step in your touch up paint project. Only with your paint code on hand can you be certain you are ordering the right touch up paint kit for your Jeep vehicle.
How to Find Your Jeep Paint Code?
Your Jeep paint code can be found in up to 6 locations:
- On the driver side of the car, where the door latches.
- Beneath the hood, on either of the three sides of the firewall: passenger, middle, or driver.
- Beneath the hood on the driver side, in front of the strut tower.
- On the front floor pan, on either the driver or passenger side.
- Beneath the hood, near the very front at the radiator support.
- In the wheelhouse of the front passenger tire.
What Do Jeep Paint Codes Look Like?
American Motors’ Jeeps have a two-digit color code and modern Jeeps’ paint codes are usually three characters and start with a “P”. The codes can include both letters and numbers or only letters.
